Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the popular TV series 'Nashville,' recently shared in an interview that the filming experience of the show was deeply distressing for her. Despite the success she achieved professionally through the show, Panettiere reveals that it had a significant impact on her emotional well-being.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, in the TV show Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. She has been vocal about her challenges with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she reveals that the show's writers drew inspiration from her own life experiences to develop her character's storylines, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette starts dating a football player too," Panettiere explains. "And then they made her character an alcoholic. After that, they had her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe, and it was very clear that they weren't being original. They weren't coming up with new storylines. They were just taking inspiration from my personal life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's all done and dusted."
Panettiere expresses that her time working on Nashville was highly fulfilling for her career. However, she also shares that the experience was emotionally distressing as she felt as though she was reliving her own personal life through her acting.
Panettiere is planning to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" that will take place in three different cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has experienced.
