In a recent interview, Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the popular series 'Nashville,' revealed that filming the show had a significant emotional impact on her, describing it as a highly distressing experience. Despite achieving great professional success through the show, Panettiere expressed that it was a challenging and unsettling journey for her.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, in the TV series Nashville that aired from 2012 to 2018. She has been vocal about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she reveals that the show's writers drew inspiration from her personal experiences to shape her character's storylines, which added an extra layer of challenge to the filming process.
From the very beginning, it was as if I was dating a football player, and then Juliette starts dating one too," Panettiere explains. "But then they portray her as an alcoholic. After that, they have her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe. It was clear that they were not putting in any effort to come up with new storylines. They were just taking inspiration from my own life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's done and over with."
According to Panettiere, while she found her time on Nashville to be professionally fulfilling, it was also emotionally challenging as she felt that she was reliving her own personal experiences through her character's storyline.
Panettiere plans to begin a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" in three different cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support individuals who are going through similar challenges as she has experienced.
