Hayden Panettiere, who gained significant recognition for her role in the TV series 'Nashville', recently expressed in an interview that filming the show had a deeply distressing impact on her.
From 2012 to 2018, Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, on the TV show Nashville. Throughout her career, the actress has been vocal about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she revealed that the writers of the show heavily drew inspiration from her own experiences, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Panettiere explains that right from the start, it felt as if the show was mirroring her real-life relationship with a football player, and then the character Juliette also starts dating a football player. However, the show's writers then took the storyline in a negative direction by portraying Juliette as an alcoholic and having her abandon her daughter to go to Europe. Panettiere feels that the writers were not being creative or doing their research, but instead just taking elements from her own life and adding their own twist to it. As a result, the storyline became predictable and unoriginal.
Panettiere expresses that her time on the television show Nashville was fulfilling in terms of her professional growth. However, she also reveals that the experience was emotionally distressing as she felt as though she was reliving her own personal experiences through her character.
Panettiere plans to start a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" in three different cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support those who may be facing similar challenges as herself.
