In a recent interview, Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the TV show 'Nashville', revealed that despite the success she achieved through the show, the filming process was personally distressing for her.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, on the TV show Nashville from 2012 to 2018. She has been vocal about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she reveals that the writers of the show drew inspiration from her real-life experiences to create her character's storylines, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette also starts dating a football player," Panettiere explains. "But then they portrayed her as an alcoholic. Afterwards, they had her abandon her daughter and go to this crazy place in Europe, and it was very obvious that they weren't being original. They weren't coming up with new storylines. They were just taking inspiration from my life and putting their own twist on it. And then, voila! It's finished."
Panettiere expresses that her time in Nashville was highly fulfilling in terms of her career. However, she also shares that the experience was deeply unsettling for her, as she felt as though she was reliving her own life through her acting on the show.
Panettiere has planned a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" that will take place in three cities. The purpose of this tour is to inspire and support individuals who are going through similar challenges as she has experienced.
