Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the television series 'Nashville', recently revealed in an interview that filming the show had a significant impact on her emotional well-being, describing it as a "very traumatizing" experience. Despite achieving great success in her professional life through the show, Panettiere's personal experience on set was challenging.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, in the TV series Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. Throughout her career, she has been vocal about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she revealed that the show's writers drew extensively from her own personal experiences to shape her character's storylines, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I'm in a relationship with a football player, and then Juliette also dates a football player," Panettiere explains. "And then they portrayed her as an alcoholic. After that, they made her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe. It was very obvious that they weren't being creative with the storylines. They were simply taking inspiration from my own life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's done and over with."
According to Panettiere, her time on the show Nashville was highly fulfilling in terms of her career. However, she also expressed that it was a deeply distressing experience as she felt as though she was reliving her own life through her acting.
Panettiere has planned a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" that will take place in three different cities. The purpose of this tour is to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as Panettiere has experienced herself.
