According to a recent interview, Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the TV show 'Nashville', has revealed that the experience of filming the show was extremely distressing for her. Despite achieving great success in her career through the series, Panettiere admits that it had a significant negative impact on her well-being.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country singer, in the TV series Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. Throughout her career, the actress has been vocal about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she shares with the Messenger that the show's writers heavily drew inspiration from her own life experiences to develop her character's storylines, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the beginning, it felt like I was dating a football player and then Juliette also dates a football player," Panettiere explains. "After that, they portray her as an alcoholic. Then they show her leaving her daughter and going to some crazy place in Europe, and it was clear that they weren't being creative. They were just copying my life and adding their own twist to it. And voila! They were done."
Panettiere expresses that her time in Nashville was highly fulfilling in terms of her career. However, she also shares that the experience was emotionally distressing for her, as she felt as though she was reliving her own life through her character on the show.
Panettiere has planned a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" that will take place in three different cities. The purpose of this tour is to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has in her life.
