Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, in the television show Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. The actress has been quite candid about her challenges with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she reveals that the show's writers drew heavily from her own life experiences to create storylines for her character. This made the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette starts dating a football player too," Panettiere explains. "And then they made her into an alcoholic. After that, they had her leave her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe, and it was clear that they were not being creative. They were just taking inspiration from my own life and adding their own twist to it. And just like that, it's done and over with."
According to Panettiere, her time on the television show Nashville was highly beneficial for her career, but it was also emotionally challenging as she felt as though she was reliving her own personal experiences through her character.
Panettiere is planning to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" across three cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has experienced.
