In a recent interview, Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the hit TV show Nashville, revealed that filming the series had a profound impact on her and was a source of great emotional distress. Despite achieving significant success in her career through the show, Panettiere expressed that the experience was personally challenging and left a lasting negative impact on her well-being.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a famous country singer, in the TV show Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. She has been candid about her challenges with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, Panettiere reveals that the show's writers heavily drew inspiration from her real-life experiences for her character's storylines, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player and then Juliette also dates one. Then they portrayed her as an alcoholic. After that, they had her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe. It was clear that they weren't being original with their storylines. They were simply taking inspiration from my life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's done and over with.
According to Panettiere, her time in Nashville was fulfilling in terms of her career. However, she found the experience to be emotionally distressing as she felt that she was reliving her own life through her acting.
Panettiere plans to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere," that aims to inspire and support individuals facing similar challenges as she has.
