Chris Young has been found not guilty of any charges related to the incident that occurred at a bar in Nashville on Monday night.
The District Attorney of Nashville, Glenn Funk, issued a statement declaring that the charges will be dropped "after thoroughly examining all the evidence involved in this particular case."
The concise statement did not provide further details, but the attorney representing Young had requested for the case to be completely dropped and for an apology to be issued. This request was made after a video emerged showing Young being forcefully pushed to the ground by an agent from TABC.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Night" seems to extend his arm towards an agent, but is forcefully pushed. As a result, the 38-year-old singer loses balance and falls backwards into the bar, eventually landing on some nearby chairs.
Attorney Bill Ramsey asserts that the arrest and charges brought against his client, Chris Young, at a bar in Nashville on Monday night were unjust and should never have occurred. Ramsey's statement was provided to Taste of Country on Wednesday (Jan. 24).
Young and TABC had their initial encounter at the Tin Roof bar a short while ago. According to the agency's report, Young raised his ID above his head and cooperated during a verification process. However, when he returned later, the report mentioned that he had bloodshot and watery eyes, along with speech that was difficult to understand.
A person representing Young confessed to encouraging them to "put some space" between themselves and someone else. When a video of the incident surfaced, the majority of the public supported Young's perspective.
Taste of Country was given access to four different camera angles, allowing fans to assess the level of aggression displayed by the person in the video. However, Young has not made any comments about the incident on social media so far.
