Conner Smith has released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains" and it is currently available. One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was an average teenager of 16 years old, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal experience about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant effect on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the performance, Thomas Rhett played his song "Die a Happy Man," and I wanted to create a romantic moment by attempting to slow dance with my date. I was hoping to be sweet and affectionate during that moment.

Smith further explains that on the following day, his partner decided to end their relationship.

After sharing a laugh, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that around four years later, he went on tour with Rhett. At that point, he realized that he had the satisfaction of having the final laugh in that particular situation.

Smith has recounted this anecdote multiple times during his performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience members.
