Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Heal Heartbreak: From Breakup to Touring Together

  • by

Conner Smith, a new artist, has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the popular songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining significant popularity on the country music charts.

However, not too distant in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average sixteen-year-old who attended a live performance by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant influence on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats on the lawn. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I was hoping to have a slow dance moment with my date, trying to be romantic and affectionate.

Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship with him.

We have a moment of laughter, and then he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett, and at that point, he realized that he had the satisfaction of having the final laugh in that situation.

Smith has recounted this anecdote multiple times during his performances, and it is well-received by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation during a separation.
