Conner Smith has recently released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing up the charts in the country music genre.
Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was an average teenager of 16 years old, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of the show Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man." I wanted to have a slow dance moment with the girl, trying to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After a moment of laughter, he proceeds with his story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had the satisfaction of having the final laugh in that situation.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it is often well-received.
Let's discuss the ultimate revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
