Conner Smith has recently released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains", which is now available. One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing up the charts in the country music genre.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was simply a regular sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares his personal experience of attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to watch Thomas Rhett perform live. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were sitting in the lawn area. I vividly recall him playing his hit song "Die a Happy Man," and in that moment, I wanted to slow dance with my date and create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. "About 4 years later, I am on a tour with Rhett, and at that point, I realized that I had the ultimate satisfaction," he remembers, expressing a sense of triumph.

Smith has recounted this anecdote during his performances on multiple occasions, and it has been well-received by the audience.
