Conner Smith, a new artist, has recently released his debut album called Smoky Mountains. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing the ranks on the country music charts.
Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated on the lawn area. During the performance, Thomas Rhett played his popular song "Die a Happy Man". At that moment, I wanted to slow dance with the girl and show my affection towards her.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship with him.
After sharing a laugh together, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and he realized that he had ultimately emerged victorious in that situation.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on several occasions, and it has become a popular choice among them.
Let's discuss the ultimate revenge and validation in a romantic separation.
