Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Rising Star Conner Smith Get Over Ex-Girlfriend

  • by

Conner Smith has just released his first album, titled Smoky Mountains. One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was simply an average 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available for viewing whenever desired, Smith shares an anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a performance by Thomas Rhett. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett played his song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, trying to create a romantic atmosphere.

Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds with the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and he felt like he had the satisfaction of having the final triumph in that situation.

Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it has become a beloved choice among viewers.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and justification one can experience during a breakup.
