Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.
Not too long ago, the up-and-coming talent was an ordinary sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights on Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which greatly influenced him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. It took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I tried to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.
Smith stated that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After we have a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "After about 4 years, I went on tour with Rhett and I thought to myself, 'I guess I had the final victory in that situation,' if you understand what I'm saying," he remembers.
Smith has recounted this anecdote on stage multiple times and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and justice that can be achieved in a breakup.
