  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains" which is now available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and quickly climbing up the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was an ordinary teenager of 16, attending a live performance by one of his beloved country music singers.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith recounts a personal experience of attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. I still recall that it took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, wanting to create a sweet and romantic moment.

According to Smith, the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds with the story. "After four years, I find myself on tour with Rhett and I can't help but think, 'I guess I had the final victory,' if you know what I mean," he remembers.

Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it is highly enjoyed by the listeners.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation that can be experienced during a breakup.
