At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. I have a vivid memory of the event taking place at Ascend Amphitheater, where we were seated on the lawn area. Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and during that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl, trying to create a sweet and intimate atmosphere.

Smith states that the following day, his significant other ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds with the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and suddenly realized that he had the satisfaction of having the final victory in that situation.
