  • by

Thomas Rhett played a role in assisting Conner Smith in moving on from a past romantic partner. Conner Smith has recently released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains". One of the tracks from the album, called "Creek Will Rise", is rapidly gaining popularity and climbing the ranks on the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was an average teenager of 16, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.

During the most recent broadcast of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares an anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform live at Ascend Amphitheater. We sat in the lawn area and I distinctly recall him playing his hit song "Die a Happy Man." During that moment, I attempted to slow dance with her, wanting to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

The following day, Smith shared that his significant other ended their relationship.

After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to recount the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately emerged victorious in that situation.

Smith has recounted this story on stage multiple times, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation in a romantic separation.
