Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains," which is now available for listeners. One of his songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and rapidly climbing the country music charts.
However, not too far in the past, the talented individual was just an ordinary 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which can be accessed On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform live. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats on the lawn area. One of the songs he played was "Die a Happy Man," and during this moment, I attempted to slow dance with her, aiming to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Smith adds that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After a moment of laughter, he proceeds with the story. He mentions that around four years later, he was on a tour with Rhett and thought to himself, "I suppose I had the final amusement in that situation."
Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it has become a popular choice among listeners.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation in a romantic split.
