Conner Smith has recently released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album called "Creek Will Rise" is rapidly gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.
Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was an average 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available for streaming, Smith shares an anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which greatly affected him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a concert by Thomas Rhett. I vividly recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.
Smith further explains that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
We have a moment of amusement here, after which he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that around four years later, he was on tour with Rhett, and in that moment, he felt a sense of satisfaction, thinking to himself, "I suppose I had the final victory there."
Smith has recounted this anecdote multiple times during his performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
