At the age of 16, I had a date with a girl and we attended a Thomas Rhett concert at Ascend Amphitheater. We were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man." I wanted to have a slow dance moment with the girl, trying to be romantic and sweet.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
We have a moment of laughter, and then he proceeds to tell the rest of the story.
