At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. I vividly recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and we attempted to slow dance together, aiming to create a sweet and romantic moment.
Smith mentioned that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After having a good laugh together, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he went on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately come out on top in that situation.
