Thomas Rhett played a role in assisting Conner Smith in moving on from a past romantic relationship. Conner Smith recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". Additionally, his song titled "Creek Will Rise" is rapidly gaining popularity on the country music charts.
However, not too distant in the past, the up-and-coming talent was simply an average 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant influence on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. I vividly recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and we attempted to slow dance together, aiming to create a sweet and romantic moment.
Smith mentioned that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After having a good laugh together, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he went on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately come out on top in that situation.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it has become a popular choice among the listeners.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation after a romantic relationship ends.
