Conner Smith, a rising country music artist, has released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains." One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, this young and talented individual was just an average sixteen-year-old, attending a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal experience he had at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man" and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

The following day, Smith mentions that she ended our relationship.

After having a laugh together, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "After about 4 years, I was on tour with Rhett and I thought to myself, 'I guess I had the final victory in that situation,' if you know what I mean," he remembers.

Smith has shared this story on stage multiple times, and it is well-received by the audience.
