Conner Smith has released his first album, titled Smoky Mountains, which is now available. One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.
Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was a regular 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.
During a recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which can be accessed On Demand, Smith shares a personal experience of attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater and we sat on the lawn. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed "Die a Happy Man" and I attempted to slow dance with the girl to create a romantic atmosphere.
Smith further explains that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that around four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and had a realization that he had ultimately come out on top in the situation, which he found amusing.
Smith has shared this story with the audience during his performances on multiple occasions, and it has become a popular choice among the listeners.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a romantic separation.
