Conner Smith, a new artist in the music industry, has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and making its way up the country music charts.
Not too far back in time, the young and promising individual was an ordinary 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the concert, Thomas Rhett performed "Die a Happy Man," and I had the intention of slow dancing with the girl I was with, trying to create a romantic and affectionate moment.
Smith explains that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After we share a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He explains that around four years later, he was on tour with Rhett when he realized that he had ultimately come out on top in the situation.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on several occasions, and it has become a beloved choice among listeners.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation one can experience during a breakup.
