Conner Smith has released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains" which is now available. One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and quickly climbing up the country music charts.
Not too long ago, the up-and-coming talent was an average 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a profound impression on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to attend a Thomas Rhett concert. I recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated on the lawn area. Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and during that time, I attempted to slow dance with the girl and be affectionate.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett, and he jokingly remarks, "I suppose I had the final laugh in that situation, if you know what I mean."
Smith has shared this story on stage multiple times, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and justification one can experience during a breakup.
