Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Heal Heartbreak: A Story of Redemption

  • by

Conner Smith has released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains," which is now available. One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is quickly gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant influence on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a concert by Thomas Rhett. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. One of the songs he performed was "Die a Happy Man," and during that moment, I attempted to slow dance with her, wanting to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship with him.

After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to share the rest of the story. He mentions that about 4 years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had the satisfaction of having the final say in the situation they were discussing earlier.

Smith has shared this story during his performances multiple times, and it is well-received by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a romantic separation.
