Conner Smith has recently released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains." One of the tracks from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is quickly gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.
However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming sensation was simply an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert to watch one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. I can recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated on the lawn area. One of the songs he performed was "Die a Happy Man." During that moment, I attempted to slow dance with her, hoping to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Smith says that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After sharing a humorous moment, he proceeds to recount the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and had a realization, thinking to himself, "I suppose I had the final laugh in that situation, if you catch my drift."
Smith has shared this story with the audience during his performances on multiple occasions, and it has become a beloved choice among the viewers.
Let's discuss an example of the most satisfying revenge and validation in a romantic split.
