Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helped Conner Smith Get Over an Ex-Girlfriend: A Tale of Payback and Vindication

  • by

Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains" which is now available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is quickly gaining popularity and climbing the charts in the country music genre.

However, not too far in the past, this up-and-coming talent was just an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available to watch anytime, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert at Ascend Amphitheater. I vividly remember that we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man." In that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create an affectionate atmosphere.

Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

We find some amusement in the situation before he proceeds with the story. He mentions that after about four years, he was on tour with Rhett, and at that moment, he felt a sense of satisfaction, as if he had come out on top in the end.

Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it is well-received by the listeners.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation during a romantic separation.
