Conner Smith has recently released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains." One of the tracks from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly climbing the country music charts.
However, not too distant in the past, the young and promising talent was simply an average sixteen-year-old individual who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant effect on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. I recall that it took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn. During his performance, Thomas Rhett played his song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a romantic atmosphere.
Smith goes on to say that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett when he realized that he had ultimately emerged victorious in that particular situation.
Smith has shared this story on stage multiple times and it is well-received by the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and justification in a romantic separation.
