The 2024 People's Choice Awards will be held in February. This time, the awards show has included two new country categories in its extensive list of nominations.
Following a triumphant introduction of the People's Choice Country Awards expansion in 2023, the primary show has introduced two additional accolades: Male Country Artist of the Year and Female Country Artist of the Year. Consequently, the show now boasts a grand total of 45 categories.
Previously, the show has showcased artists from different genres such as pop, hip-hop, and R&B. The PCAs have also revealed their plans to acknowledge Male and Female Latin Artists in the year 2024.
The initial candidates for the Male Country Artist category consist of Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan. The nominees for Female Country Artist include Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain.
Viewers have the opportunity to cast their votes online for their preferred artist leading up to the day of the event. The highly anticipated 2024 People's Choice Awards are slated to take place on February 18th at 8PM ET, airing on NBC.
