The 2024 People's Choice Awards will take place in February. This time, the awards show has included two new country categories to their extensive list of nominations.
Following a highly successful introduction of the People's Choice Country Awards expansion in 2023, the original event has introduced two additional accolades: the Male Country Artist of the Year and the Female Country Artist of the Year. Consequently, the show now boasts a grand total of 45 different categories.
Previously, the show has given prominence to artists from different genres such as pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Furthermore, the PCAs have also revealed their intention to acknowledge Male and Female Latin Artists in the year 2024.
The list of nominees for the Male Country Artist category includes Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan. On the other hand, the Female Country Artist category consists of Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain. These artists have been recognized as potential contenders in their respective categories.
Until the day of the show, fans have the opportunity to cast their votes online for their preferred artist. The 2024 People's Choice Awards are set to take place on February 18th at 8PM ET, and will be broadcasted on NBC.
