The 2024 People's Choice Awards are scheduled to take place in February. For this edition, the awards show has included two new categories dedicated to country music among its extensive list of nominations.
Following a triumphant introduction of the People's Choice Country Awards expansion in 2023, the primary program has introduced two additional accolades: Male Country Artist of the Year and Female Country Artist of the Year. As a result, the show now boasts a grand total of 45 categories.
Previously, the show has showcased artists from different genres such as pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Additionally, the PCAs have revealed that they will also acknowledge Male and Female Latin Artists in 2024.
The Male Country Artist category for the first time includes Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan as nominees. On the other hand, the nominees for Female Country Artist are Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain.
Audiences have the opportunity to cast their votes for their preferred artist through an online platform up until the day of the event. The 2024 People's Choice Awards are set to take place on February 18th at 8PM ET and will be broadcasted on NBC.
