The 2024 People's Choice Awards will take place in February. This time, the awards show has included two new country categories to its already extensive list of nominations.
In 2023, the People's Choice Country Awards expansion was highly successful and as a result, the original show introduced two additional awards: Male Country Artist of the Year and Female Country Artist of the Year. With these new additions, the show now has a total of 45 categories.
Previously, the show has showcased artists from different genres such as pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Additionally, the PCAs have recently disclosed their plans to acknowledge male and female Latin artists in the year 2024.
The list of nominees for Male Country Artist consists of Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan. The nominees for Female Country Artist include Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain.
Until the day of the show, supporters have the opportunity to vote for their preferred artist through an online platform. The 2024 People's Choice Awards will take place on Feb. 18 at 8PM ET and will be broadcasted on NBC.
