The 2024 People's Choice Awards are scheduled to take place in February. This time, the awards show has introduced two new categories related to country music among its wide range of nominations.
Following the successful introduction of the People's Choice Country Awards expansion in 2023, the original show has added two additional awards to its lineup: Male Country Artist of the Year and Female Country Artist of the Year. As a result, the total number of categories for the show has now increased to 45.
Previously, the show has showcased artists from different genres such as pop, hip-hop, and R&B. The PCAs have also revealed plans to acknowledge Male and Female Latin Artists in 2024.
The Male Country Artist category for the upcoming awards features an impressive lineup of nominees, including Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan. On the other hand, the Female Country Artist category includes Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain.
