14 Country Stars Who Deserve More Respect: Uncovering the Overlooked Legends

  • by

There are 14 country stars who should be given more recognition and appreciation. While Dwight Yoakam is often seen as one of the most underrated singers in country music, we recently discovered that there is another legendary country artist who also deserves more respect.

Yoakam's batting average at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards is .081 (3-37), which means he has only been successful in a few instances. However, despite his low average, he has managed to secure three wins. The Bellamy Brothers would definitely wish for the same level of luck

This pair has an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three biggest country music award shows. Despite receiving the highest number of nominations in the duo category, they have never managed to win. David and Howard Bellamy's lack of recognition is evident to the point that they were not even mentioned by the Taste of Country team when compiling a list of deserving artists who are not in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

It appeared to be obvious that they would have arrived by now.

It's possible that you might feel as upset as we did about this type of disrespect. We suggest using a stress ball, a CBD gummy (if it's legal), or any other method you use to stay calm while scrolling. Below, you'll find a list of 14 artists, all of whom are considered legacy acts and deserve more respect.

We will set aside the topic of contemporary country singers who are not given the respect they deserve for another time.

This list includes two incredibly talented female solo artists and three highly influential music groups. Billy Ray Cyrus is also included, which may spark some debate. But the evidence supports the inclusion of Cyrus and his 13 companions, so it's time to acknowledge them with a little more respect.
