Underrated Legends: 14 Country Stars Who Deserve More Respect

  • by

There are 14 country stars who should be given more respect, one of them being Dwight Yoakam. However, we recently discovered another renowned country artist who has also been overlooked.

Yoakam has had a rather low batting average of .081 (3-37) at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards, but despite this, he has managed to secure three wins. The Bellamy Brothers would surely wish for such luck!

David and Howard Bellamy, as a duo, have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three main country music award shows. No other country pair has received more nominations in the duo category, yet they have never won. The lack of recognition for the Bellamy Brothers is so apparent that they were not even taken into consideration when compiling a list of deserving artists not in the Country Music Hall of Fame by the Taste of Country team.

It appeared to be obvious that they would have arrived by now.

It is possible that you may feel as strongly as we did about this type of disrespect. We suggest using a stress ball, a CBD gummy (if it is legal), or any other method you use to stay calm while scrolling. Below, you will find a list of 14 artists, specifically focused on those who have established a lasting legacy, and who we believe deserve more respect.

We will postpone discussing contemporary country singers who are not given proper respect for another occasion.

Included in this list are two widely celebrated female solo artists, along with three well-known musical groups. Additionally, Billy Ray Cyrus is also featured, although his inclusion may stir up some controversy. Nevertheless, the evidence supports the notion that he and his thirteen companions deserve a greater level of recognition.
