There are 14 country stars who should be given more respect. While Dwight Yoakam was previously considered the most disrespected singer in country music, we recently discovered another highly respected country act.
Yoakam's batting average at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards is only .081, meaning he has only secured three wins out of 37 attempts. In comparison, the Bellamy Brothers have not been as fortunate in achieving similar success.
David and Howard Bellamy, as a duo, have achieved an astonishing yet unfortunate record of 0-29 at the three major shows in the country music industry. It is quite remarkable that no other country pair has received more nominations in the duo category, and yet, they have never managed to secure a win. The Bellamy brothers have been consistently overlooked to the extent that the Taste of Country team did not even include them in their list of deserving artists who should be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Associated: 62 Country Artists who have not been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
It appeared to be extremely obvious that they would have already arrived.
It is understandable if you feel the same level of frustration as we do when encountering such disrespect. We suggest finding a way to relax and stay calm while scrolling through this list, such as using a stress ball or consuming a CBD gummy (if it is legal for you). The following list consists of 14 artists, specifically legacy acts, who we believe deserve more respect.
We will discuss underappreciated modern country singers at a later time.
This list includes a duo of highly esteemed female solo artists and three well-known groups. It also includes Billy Ray Cyrus, which we understand may spark disagreement. Nevertheless, the facts speak for themselves – it's about time we show him and his 13 companions some additional appreciation.
