There are 14 country stars who we believe should be given more respect. While Dwight Yoakam may have been considered the most disrespected singer in country music, we recently discovered another legendary country artist whose resume deserves recognition.
Yoakam's batting average at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards is very low, standing at .081 (3-37). However, despite this, he has managed to secure three wins. The Bellamy Brothers would definitely wish for the same level of success.
These two musicians have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three most important country music awards shows. No other duo has received as many nominations in the duo category, yet they have never managed to win. David and Howard Bellamy are so consistently ignored that they were not even included in the list of deserving artists not yet inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame compiled by the Taste of Country team.
