Underrated Legends: 14 Country Stars Who Deserve More Respect

  • by

There are 14 country stars who are not receiving the level of respect they deserve. Dwight Yoakam was previously considered as one of the most disrespected singers in country music, but now we have discovered another legendary country act with an impressive resume.

Yoakam has a very low batting average of .081 (3 hits out of 37 attempts) at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards. Surprisingly, despite this, he has managed to secure three wins. The Bellamy Brothers would be envious of such success.

The duo consisting of David and Howard Bellamy has an astonishingly unlucky record of 0-29 at the three most significant award shows in country music. Despite being nominated more times than any other country duo, they have never managed to secure a win. Their lack of recognition is so extreme that the Taste of Country team did not even think to include them in their list of deserving artists who are not yet in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

It appeared to be extremely obvious that they would have arrived by this point.

It's understandable if you feel equally frustrated by this form of disrespect. We suggest using a stress-relieving tool like a squeeze ball or a CBD gummy (if it's legal for you) to help maintain your calmness. Below, you'll find a compilation of 14 artists, all of whom are considered legacy acts and deserve greater respect.

We will discuss unappreciated modern country singers at another time.

Included in this list are two highly acclaimed female solo artists, as well as three well-known groups. Billy Ray Cyrus, who may spark some disagreement, is also featured. Nevertheless, the evidence clearly supports the notion that he, along with his 13 associates, deserves greater recognition and admiration.
