There are 14 country stars who deserve to be recognized and treated with more respect. While Dwight Yoakam may have been considered the most disrespected singer in country music, we recently discovered another legendary country act whose accomplishments deserve recognition.
Yoakam's batting average at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards is only .081, with a record of 3-37. Despite this low average, he has managed to secure three wins. The Bellamy Brothers, on the other hand, have not been as fortunate.
These two individuals have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three most important country music award shows. No other duo in the genre has received more nominations in the duo category, yet they have never managed to win. David and Howard Bellamy have been consistently overlooked to the point where the Taste of Country team did not even include them in their list of deserving artists not in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

We will discuss neglected modern country singers at another time.
Included in this list are two well-known female artists who have achieved legendary status in their solo careers, as well as three iconic music groups. The inclusion of Billy Ray Cyrus may spark some debate, but the evidence supports the idea that he and his 13 colleagues deserve more recognition and respect.
