Yoakam's batting average at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards is only .081, with a record of 3 wins out of 37 attempts. In comparison, the Bellamy Brothers would be fortunate to have such success.

This pair has an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three most significant music awards shows. No other country duo has received more nominations in their category, yet they have never managed to win. David and Howard Bellamy have been so consistently ignored that the Taste of Country team did not even think of including them in their list of deserving artists who are not in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
