There are 14 country stars who should be given more respect, and while it seemed like Dwight Yoakam was the most disrespected singer in country music, we recently discovered another legendary country act with an impressive resume.
Yoakam has a very low batting average of .081 (3-37) at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards, however, he has managed to secure three wins. The Bellamy Brothers, on the other hand, have not been as fortunate in terms of award wins.
David and Howard Bellamy, a duo in the country music genre, have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three most prominent awards shows. They have received numerous nominations in the duo category, surpassing any other country pair, but have never managed to secure a win. Their lack of recognition is so significant that the Taste of Country team did not even include them in a list of deserving artists who are not yet inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
