14 Country Stars Who Are Long Overdue for Respect

  • by

There are 14 country stars who should be given more recognition. Dwight Yoakam was previously considered the most undervalued singer in country music, until we discovered the impressive accomplishments of another renowned country artist.

Yoakam has achieved a very low batting average of .081 (3-37) at the CMA, ACM and Grammy Awards, however, he has still managed to secure three wins. The Bellamy Brothers would greatly appreciate having such luck!

David and Howard Bellamy, as a duo, have had an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three largest country music award shows. It is remarkable because no other country duo has received as many nominations in this category, yet they have never managed to win. Their talent and achievements have been so underestimated that the Taste of Country team did not even include them in their list of deserving artists who are not yet in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

It appeared to be an obvious and straightforward expectation that they would have already arrived.

It is possible that you might feel as strongly as we did about this form of disrespect. We suggest using a stress-relief tool such as a squeeze ball or a CBD gummy (if it is legal for you) to help you stay calm. The list provided below consists of 14 artists, all of whom are considered to be legacy acts and deserve more respect.

We will postpone discussing contemporary country singers who are not given enough respect for another occasion.

Included in this list are two highly acclaimed female solo artists and three renowned music groups. Additionally, Billy Ray Cyrus is also featured, despite the potential controversy surrounding his inclusion. Nevertheless, the evidence strongly supports the notion that he and his 13 colleagues deserve greater respect.
