14 Country Stars Who Deserve More Respect: The Overlooked Legends and Iconic Acts

  • by

There are 14 country stars who should be given more respect. While many people believed Dwight Yoakam was the most disrespected singer in country music, we recently discovered another legendary country act whose resume deserves recognition.

Yoakam has a very low batting average of .081 (3-37) at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards, but despite this, he has managed to win three times. The Bellamy Brothers would be extremely fortunate to have such success.

David and Howard Bellamy have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three main country music award shows. They hold the record for the most nominations in the duo category but have never won. Their lack of recognition is evident as they were not even taken into consideration by the Taste of Country team when compiling a list of deserving artists who are not in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

It appeared to be obvious that they would have already arrived.

You might become equally upset as we were regarding this form of disrespect. We suggest using a stress ball, a CBD gummy (if it's legal), or any other method you use to stay calm while scrolling. Below, we have provided a list of 14 artists. This compilation focuses solely on legacy acts, who we believe deserve more respect.

We will discuss underappreciated modern country singers at a later time.

Included in this list are two highly acclaimed female performers, as well as three well-known musical groups. Billy Ray Cyrus is also featured, although his inclusion may spark some disagreement. Nevertheless, the facts show that it is appropriate to acknowledge him and his 13 colleagues with greater admiration.
