Yoakam's batting average at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards is only .081, which means he has only won 3 out of 37 times. However, compared to the Bellamy Brothers, he is still considered lucky with his three wins.
David and Howard Bellamy, a duo in the country music industry, have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three major shows. No other country pair has received more nominations in the duo category, yet they have never won. Their lack of recognition is so significant that the Taste of Country team did not even include them on their list of deserving artists not in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
