Lainey Wilson's recent collaboration with the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. Chris Robinson, the lead singer of the band, happened to meet Lainey Wilson by coincidence and discovered that she was a fan of their music.
On the Black Crowes' latest album titled Happiness Bastards, there is a song called "Wilted Rose". According to Robinson, he had the chance to meet Wilson when they crossed paths on the red carpet at a country awards show. In addition, the Black Crowes collaborated with Darius Rucker for a special performance of "She Talks to Angels" at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
Robinson remembers her as a very kind and affectionate person who expressed her admiration for the Black Crowes by saying, "I can't believe it, but I actually grew up listening to their music."
During a break in interviews, there was a brief moment where something happened. The producer, Jay Joyce, approached her and made a request, which she readily fulfilled.
Joyce was also responsible for producing Wilson's most recent two albums. "Wilted Rose" signifies a significant milestone for the Black Crowes, as it is the first instance where they have collaborated with a different vocalist on one of their albums.

Wilson's collaboration with another artist adds to her already strong reputation as one of the most versatile and talented female artists in country music. Over the past few years, she has worked with a diverse range of musicians including Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Cole Swindell, Chase Rice, Hardy, Lauren Alaina, and Darren Criss. Additionally, she contributed a rendition of the Rolling Stones' classic "You Can't Always Get What You Want" for the Stone Cold Country tribute album dedicated to the Stones. Furthermore, Wilson showcased her acting skills by appearing in the Western drama series, Yellowstone.
During an interview, Robinson reminisces about the time he was in Los Angeles. It was after the main phase of the record, and when they heard the news, they were amazed. Robinson acknowledges the immense talent of the person being discussed and recognizes that they are currently experiencing a moment of stardom. He expresses genuine happiness for their success and believes that they will continue to achieve great things, as they are already doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming studio album, however, no information or songs from these sessions have been made public. "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" from the album Bell Bottom Country is her latest released single.
