Lainey Wilson's collaboration with the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. Chris Robinson, the lead singer of the Black Crowes, happened to meet Lainey Wilson by coincidence and discovered that she was a fan of their music.
On the Black Crowes' latest album titled "Happiness Bastards," there is a track called "Wilted Rose." According to Robinson's interview with Loudwire Nights, he reveals that he had the opportunity to meet Wilson during a country awards show. At the 2023 CMT Music Awards, the Black Crowes collaborated with Darius Rucker for a special performance of "She Talks to Angels."
Robinson remembers her as a very kind and affectionate person who expressed her admiration for the Black Crowes by saying, "I can't believe it, but I've been a fan of the Black Crowes since I was a child."
During a brief break between interviews and other activities, the producer Jay Joyce asked her a question, and without hesitation, she willingly complied.
Joyce was also responsible for producing Wilson's previous two albums. "Wilted Rose" signifies the first instance where the Black Crowes collaborated with a different vocalist for an album.

Wilson's collaboration with another artist adds to her already established reputation as one of the most versatile and influential female artists in the country music genre. Over the past few years, she has worked with a diverse range of musicians including Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Cole Swindell, Chase Rice, Hardy, Lauren Alaina, and Darren Criss. Additionally, she recorded a rendition of the Rolling Stones' classic "You Can't Always Get What You Want" for the Stone Cold Country tribute album dedicated to the iconic band. Wilson has also ventured into acting, appearing in the popular Western drama series, Yellowstone.
During an interview, Robinson recollects his experience in Los Angeles after completing the main part of the record. Upon hearing the news, he and others were amazed by the talent of the individual in question. They expressed their happiness for her, acknowledging that she is currently experiencing her moment of stardom and predicting that she will continue to achieve great success in the future, as she is already doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming album, but there is no information or songs that have been shared from those recording sessions. Her most recent single is called "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" from the album Bell Bottom Country.
