The collaboration between Lainey Wilson and the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. Chris Robinson, the lead singer of the band, explains that he met Lainey by coincidence and discovered that she was a fan of their music. As a result, they decided to create a new song together.
You can find a song called "Wilted Rose" on the Black Crowes' latest album, Happiness Bastards. During an interview with Loudwire Nights, Robinson reveals that he first met Wilson at a country awards show. The Black Crowes and Darius Rucker teamed up to perform "She Talks to Angels" at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
According to Robinson, she was a very kind and lovely person who expressed her excitement by saying, "I can't believe it! I've been a fan of the Black Crowes since I was a child."
During a break between interviews, there was a brief moment where something happened. Producer Jay Joyce asked her a question, and she spontaneously went ahead and did it.
Joyce was also responsible for producing the two most recent albums by Wilson. "Wilted Rose" is significant because it is the first occasion where the Black Crowes collaborated with a different vocalist for an album.

Furthermore, she showcased her acting skills in the Western drama series, Yellowstone.
During an interview, Robinson reminisces about being in Los Angeles after completing the main part of the record. Upon hearing the news, they were amazed and thought, "Wow!" They acknowledge the immense talent of the person being discussed and recognize that they are currently experiencing their moment of stardom. They express genuine happiness for this individual and believe that they will continue to achieve incredible things as they are already doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently in the process of working on her upcoming studio album, although there is no information or songs that have been leaked from those recording sessions. Her latest single, "Wildflowers and Wild Horses," is featured on the album Bell Bottom Country.
